1895 March. Mother Hannah, born, Waenfawr, Carnarvonshire
1895 Sept 8. Father Horace born, Wallasey, Merseyside

1915. JPJB's parents meet on Rhyl Station. Horace is sent to the Front, marries just beforehand

1919 Elder sister, Pamela, born

1922 July 23rd Born, Wallasey, Merseyside.

1927 Sept. (presumably)First went to primary school in Osborne Road, Wallasey.

1933 Sept (presumably) Went to Grammar School in Wallasey. (possibly as early as Sept 1930)

1935 or 1936 (presumably) Went to Trent College, Nottinghamshire - public boarding school. Presumably there until 1940.

1940?? Joined RAF - volunteered.

1942 April. Sergeant in RAF

1944 On reconnaisance planes, before and around D-day.

1946 Firm named H J B** & Son, Estate Agents, formed.

1946 (Nov) Began courtship of Joan, also of Wallasey.

1947 August, married Joan (b.1925)

1952 Jan 12. First daughter born

1954. Jan 4. Second daughter born

1956 Feb 16. Only son (me) born.

1963 August First boat holiday

1966 Holiday to PortoFino, Italy. Hired car from Genoa airport. With Mum only.

1968 April Holiday to Netherlands, on Botel. With family.

1980 His father, Horace, died, aged 84.

1986 Oct 11. Died, Wallasey, Merseyside.

1987 March. His mother Hannah died, aged 91.

Opening post

Well, this is about my Dad, J P J B***** (1922-1986). A place to put in memories of him, and try to make some sense.

A bit late to be doing this, as he has been gone for 20 years, but maybe it's worthwhile. He won't be forgotten, in any event.
